For our EMEA Customer Success team, we are looking for an Account Manager with a tech-savvy approach, who has experience in selling PaaS and SaaS, preferably in the localisation industry and who’s just as excited as we are about the changes currently occurring in the industry. We greatly value experience with handling different tools and connectors and setting up the right workflows for our global enterprise clients.

The Account Manager/Localisation Specialist is the key client contact for client focal points in the Straker EMEA team (with offices in Brussels, Amsterdam, Kiel and Barcelona) and responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with assigned clients through a proactive approach to client engagement.
  • Supporting Sales department to win new business and increase sales.
  • Building strong internal relationships across business with key stakeholders.
  • Becoming an expert in Straker Group offerings and educating clients on the use and benefits of our entire service offering.
  • Owning the technical onboarding process for the team’s clients with support from the Dev and Product teams.
  • Identifying new opportunities in existing accounts for service enhancements and add-ons.
  • Monitoring quoting activities for assigned clients as performed by the Customer Operations Team.
  • Working with clients to ensure they are leveraging our technology effectively and finding value in our services. You would act as a consultant and would manage relationships with the client’s technology resources.
  • Efficiently manage time to focus on essential activities to ensure client satisfaction, account renewal and account growth.
  • Driving upgrade revenue through increased product adoption and usage.
  • Ensuring all administrative needs for clients are observed and updated with the required frequency to ensure no disruption of service.
  • Using consultative approach with clients to uncover additional opportunities for engagement within client organization.
  • Working closely with the other EMEA Revenue team members and other Straker departments such as Production, Finance, Product and Dev teams to ensure an exceptional client experience and take care of any client issues that might arise.
  • Being a client advocate while capturing feedback and reporting requests to appropriate department.
  • Monitoring support request flow for common issues for broader resolution (i.e.: training, product enhancements etc.).
  • Managing larger high visibility projects.
  • Helping the client meet their technical needs in terms of localisation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translations, Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management or a similar client-facing role in the translation industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with AI/Machine Translation tools and a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding client expectations.

Location: Barcelona or Amsterdam (hybrid)
