Join the Royal Caribbean Digital Team as a Web Translation Specialist, where you’ll take on a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication across our global audience. You will manage translations across 19 market sites in 9 languages as an analyst-level professional. This role requires a strategic approach, considering future market expansion while being mindful of budget constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end translation process for content across 19 market sites in 9 languages, maintaining linguistic and cultural integrity.
  • Submit translation requests with a 24/7 approach. All content created is translated.
  • Collaborate with external translation vendors and in-house teams to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely translations.
  • Anticipate and prepare for future market expansions by proactively developing translation strategies for potential new languages and markets.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to adapt content and messaging for diverse cultural audiences, ensuring a consistent and resonant brand voice.
  • Work within allocated budgets for translation services, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness in translated content.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of translated materials to uphold the highest standards.
  • Collaborate closely with content creators, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between original content and translations.
  • Provide linguistic expertise to enhance the effectiveness of communication strategies in different regions.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for translation quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Regularly report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in translation management, preferably in a global or multi-language context.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one additional language among the 9 languages covered.
  • Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Budget management experience with a focus on cost-effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with translation tools and technologies.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of localization best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
