Position Summary

The Business Development & Lead Qualification Associate is responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads to support the sales pipeline. This role reports to the Manager, Business Development and focuses on outbound prospecting, online engagement, and lead conversion. The ideal candidate is a driven, detail-oriented professional with experience in lead generation, appointment setting, and CRM management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect & Qualify Leads: Identify and engage potential clients through LinkedIn, cold emails, and online research.
  • Buyer Committee: Leverage leads as intent signals and identify other members of the buying committee to prospect using the engagement insights from the lead source (topic of ad, event, etc.)
  • Outbound Engagement: Develop and execute outreach strategies to schedule introductory calls for the sales team.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update lead data in LinkedIn Sales Navigator and SugarCRM to track engagement and optimize outreach efforts.
  • Lead Handoff: Properly qualify and transition leads to the appropriate sales team when an opportunity is identified.
  • Daily Tracking & Reporting: Manage, track, and report lead generation activities to the Manager, Business Development.
  • Market Research: Navigate corporate structures to identify key decision-makers and potential buyers.
  • Process Adherence: Follow structured lead nurturing workflows to ensure consistent, data-driven outreach efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of lead generation and appointment setting experience, preferably in B2B sales or inside sales roles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, and SugarCRM.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to overcome objections, stay motivated, and work under pressure.
  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills with a positive attitude toward coaching and feedback.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured sales processes.
  • Market Awareness: Any background in localization, life sciences, or marketing technologies is a plus.
