What you’ll do
The Localization Program Manager is responsible for managing established localization processes for global learning and enablement content. Content is technical and customer-facing. Content types include videos, self-paced eLearning courses, training slide decks and workbooks, Docusign templates, and Customer Success marketing assets such as documents, decks, and data sheets. This position works closely with Customer Success content teams, regional reviewers, product localization teams, and localization vendors. This position manages the end-to-end localization process from preparing content for localization, sending out to localization vendors, coordinating with in-house content developers, managing review processes, and handing off content for final production and publishing. You should be comfortable working cross-functionally with all levels of the organization, an excellent communicator, detail and task-oriented, and comfortable working with all types of languages, including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Program Manager Lead, Global Learning and Development.
Responsibility
- Coordinate with content team managers and regional leads to understand localization priorities and requirements
- Manage localization roadmap
- Coordinate with content creators on file handoffs and timing requirements
- Coordinate content handoffs with translation vendor
- Track localization costs and turnaround times
- Coordinate and track localization work with internal content teams
- Manage localization reviews with internal regional reviewers
- Triage localization questions with content developers, reviewers, and vendors
- Finalize localized content and prepare content for publishing
- Work continuously towards improving localized content quality
Job Designation
Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring
Basic
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of localization program management experience in a high-tech industry
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Professional working proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, or Japanese
- Experience owning complex localization projects
- Experience working with localization and internationalization issues
Preferred
- Experience using translation management systems
- Experience managing translation memories, glossaries, and style guides
- Self-starter, quick-learner, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and proactive
- Ability to excel in a dynamic work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Smartling and/or XTM
- Experience with Content and Learning Management Systems
- Experience with translation of multimedia content types
- Have worked on both vendor and client sides
