Role Description
LCP Localizations is looking for a remote contract Bid Manager with proven experience in localization bids to help establish our presence in the IT sector. This role is crucial in laying the groundwork for our RFP bidding strategy by identifying high-value bid opportunities, registering our company as a vendor, and ensuring access to private RFPs.
The initial contract will focus on:
- Building a structured database of supplier portals, ensuring we have streamlined access to a large volume of relevant RFPs.
- Securing vendor registrations with key IT companies and procurement platforms.
- Developing a bid framework that allows us to efficiently evaluate and respond to opportunities.
Based on performance, this role may transition into a long-term position, where you will take an active role in managing the full bidding process and driving contract wins.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify supplier portals and procurement platforms used by leading IT companies.
- Register LCP Localizations as a vendor and establish relationships with procurement teams to gain access to private RFPs.
- Create and manage a centralized database of supplier portals and bid opportunities.
- Develop a standardized process for evaluating RFP eligibility, bid strategy, and submission requirements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and industry best practices in localization and IT.
- Monitor and track new bid opportunities, keeping internal teams informed of potential projects.
- If extended to full-time, oversee the full proposal lifecycle, from bid qualification to submission.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bid management or procurement within the translation, localization, or language services industry.
- Strong understanding of localization RFP processes, including vendor selection and procurement requirements.
- Experience securing vendor registrations and gaining access to private bid opportunities.
- Ability to develop and maintain a structured database for tracking supplier portals and RFPs.
- Excellent research, organizational, and analytical skills to evaluate bid eligibility and success potential.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with IT procurement frameworks and enterprise procurement systems is a bonus.
📌 Candidates with previous experience handling supplier registrations and RFPs for other translation or localization companies will be highly preferred.
