Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Bilingual QA (English/Japanese) in IT at Kanzen Consulting. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management processes for product development. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products while bridging communication between global teams and Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Software Testing:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Conduct manual and automated testing(optional) to ensure software functionality, usability, and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects using standardized tools.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Perform regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for software quality.
Japanese Language Tasks:
- Translate technical documentation, test cases, and reports between Japanese and English.
- Facilitate clear communication between Japanese-speaking clients/stakeholders and development teams.
- Review and validate localized software versions for the Japanese market, ensuring cultural and linguistic appropriateness.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze test results to identify trends and suggest improvements to processes and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test strategies and quality guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Language Skills:
- Fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) with strong business-level communication skills (preferred N2).
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with global teams.
- Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in QA and software testing roles.
- Experience with localization testing and working with Japanese clients is a plus.
