Great opportunity for a Catalog Localization Coordinator / Graphic Designer / DTP (Desktop Publisher, Bilingual J/E) joining the marketing department at an US subsidiary of a Japanese leading robot manufacturer branding their products!
SUMMARY
A Bilingual (Japanese/English) Jr. to mid Catalog Localization Coordinator / Graphic Designer / DTP (Desktop Publisher) who will be responsible for producing English catalogs, proofreading, and editing contents working with outside vendors, freelancers and internal members using InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and/or Photoshop. This role will require participating in the creation of English catalogs (PDF/Printed), marketing materials, internal documents/presentation, WEB contents and advertisements.
Responsibilities:
- Project management for English version catalog production.
- Proofread/translate catalogs, internal & external documents, newsletters, any articles for web and other mediums.
- Work with/manage outside vendors, freelancers and internal members to order and proceed translation, layout,design, proofread and/or print.
- Editing old catalog to update information to issue new version, or design/create new DTP data to produce new catalog and other printed materials.
- Working with/supporting WEB Designers to update information on WEB pages.
- Communicate with internal & external agents, collect quotes, proceed projects by yourself and/or with others.
- Research vendors and costs, list up results, request quotes, report information, prepare documents, process POs,maintain excel sheets/online spreadsheets for projects and plans.
- A few overnight travels in each year might be assigned to support events, Distributor & Sales Meeting, Trade Shows.
- A variety of miscellaneous tasks might be assigned to support your group, and/or other groups/divisions/department.
- Additional tasks would be assigned by the group leader or manager.
Skills & Experiences:
- Bilingual (Japanese/English)
- Proofreading and editing catalogs/brochures handling DTP data/PDF/Printed Materials.
- Preferable to more than one year related experiences of Catalog production/design/print.
- Preferable to proficiency in Adobe Products (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, etc.)
- Passionate about learning new software, skills and technologies, and planning/sharing ideas.
- Organization skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in business writing and grammar.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, documentation).
- Team player working in the marketing department and corporate office.
