My Product Path are recruiting on behalf of a travel & loyalty company for a Content & Localisation Manager in London or Manchester to join them on a permanent basis. The company offer Products & Services in 27 countries around the world.
Your primary responsibilities are:
- Schedule all localisation requirements in line with the launch plan for all content types.
- Manage all translation in line with project schedules.
- In collaboration with the translation team, and internal teams, build and manage the glossary, style guide and tone of voice for our different territories with a rich understanding of the client’s content.
- Create language quality process to verify ToV and language quality assurance.
- Manage external translators (vendors and freelancers) for maximum quality, speed, and cost efficiency.
- Standardising localisation processes by tracking translation order status, quotes, schedules, delivery, and costs, and liaising with partners.
- Suggesting process improvement and tool and system optimisation opportunities to connect the team with our wider business ecosystem.
- Seeking opportunities to standardize and optimize their approach to content and content management.
- Reporting clear and consistent project statuses to third-party project partners and internal departments.
- Keeping comprehensive records of all financial data to ensure that project spending remains within budget.
- Exercising care over purchase orders, invoices, and approval processes.
- Leading regular localisation meetings.
- Being the primary point of contact for localisation across the company.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Experience in a comparable localisation role, either as a project manager or program manager working on language launches, software and creative content.
- Proven experience managing translation and transcreation through external LSPs and freelance translators for multiple languages.
- Proven experience creating and managing glossaries, style guides for new languages.
- Ability to partner with internal operations teams, with the ability to work internally across content and technical teams as well as externally with vendors.
- Experience establishing processes, supporting teams, developing relationships, and managing end-to-end for a portfolio of concurrent programs.
- Ability to hold teams accountable to a high-quality standard.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
