Salary: $70,000-$95,000
We are seeking a strategic and skilled Content Manager to lead our content marketing efforts by developing, curating, and managing high-quality content across multiple platforms. This role is crucial to our inbound marketing success and is inspired by the principles of They Ask, You Answer, focusing on creating valuable content that answers our customers’ most pressing questions. The Content Manager will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and other teams to ensure that our content aligns with business goals and delivers measurable results.
This is a full time remote opportunity and we are open to considering qualified candidates located in either Canada or The United States.
Top Expectations
- Content Strategy & Creation: Develop a comprehensive content strategy that educates and informs our audience, addressing key customer questions and pain points. Provide valuable, transparent information that builds trust by producing content that educates and empowers customers through their buying journey, positioning the company as a trusted expert.
- SEO & Performance Optimization: Leverage SEO best practices to create content that ranks highly in search engines and drives organic traffic. Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track content performance and make data-driven improvements to continually enhance visibility, engagement, and lead generation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and customer service teams to understand customer pain points, objections, and frequently asked questions. Use these insights to create content that aligns with the They Ask, You Answer methodology, ensuring a unified message across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer-Centric Content Creation: Champion the They Ask, You Answer approach by consistently creating transparent and helpful content that directly addresses customer questions. This includes blogs, case studies, videos, and other formats designed to simplify complex topics and guide customers through their decision-making process.
- Content Calendar Management: Maintain a well-organized content calendar, ensuring consistent, timely publication that aligns with marketing goals and customer needs.
- Video Content Development: Plan, script, and produce video content that educates and engages the target audience. Focus on transparency and answering key customer questions through visual storytelling.
- Editorial Oversight: Ensure that all content follows brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in style, tone, and accuracy, while prioritizing honesty and transparency.
- Keyword Strategy & SEO: Develop and implement keyword strategies based on real customer searches. Ensure that all content follows SEO best practices to drive organic traffic and increase visibility.
- Content Performance Monitoring: Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics, tracking key metrics such as traffic, engagement, and conversions. Continuously refine strategies based on data insights to improve customer engagement and lead generation.
- Embracing Trends & Technologies: Stay updated on content marketing trends and emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools. Experiment with innovative content formats to ensure the company stays competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
- Sales & Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with sales to create content that addresses common objections and customer challenges, driving alignment between marketing and sales. Ensure content helps facilitate a smooth and informed customer journey.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of content marketing experience, preferably in B2B.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in SEO, content management systems (e.g., HubSpot), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with a focus on simplifying complex concepts and providing honest, helpful information.
- Experience with video content production.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and creative teams.
- Knowledge of AI-driven marketing tools is a plus.
