Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also manages technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
This role entails overseeing the management and reporting of various title lists and compliance tracking, including S&P compliance for Turkish/Arabic components and estimated final costs collection with the localization team in London. Key duties include ensuring the accuracy of title data, managing data collection for performance metrics, and coordinating with multiple teams for clear communication and timely updates. The role also supports ad hoc projects, library acquisitions, and special planning initiatives, while resolving issues related to missing deliveries and process automation
Responsibilities
- Support team to solve complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions
- Co-lead functional teams or projects and serves as a best practice/quality resource
- Build and manage relationships with internal clients such as Global Content Planning.
- Liaise with regional teams (Distribution Operations as well as local programming teams).
- Lead projects/accounts with high resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity including but not limited to forecast budgets.
- Drive execution and delivery of multiple high-profile accounts (Tier 0 clients).
- Communicate deadlines and delivery expectations across functional teams for downstream workflow needs.
- Assess and propose innovative solutions to problems to senior executive team.
- Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
- Work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.
- Work across all territories Distribution Operations: US/CA, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, China, India, etc.
- Perform extensive research across all inventories, systems, and tools Distribution Operations uses for servicing operations
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with managing high profile projects with moderate supervision (3+ years)
- Ability to conduct work assignments with increasing complexity and contributes to team objectives and outcomes that are largely operational.
- Considered developed and skilled and proficient in managing content distribution related projects with moderate supervision.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and a willingness to pivot as needed.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to focus on long-term scalability and growth of the business.
- Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to command a room.
- Communicates effectively developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- A collaborative spirit, especially as an expert at getting things done, and a high degree of comfort communicating with executive level business partners.
- Decision quality, ability to make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
- Ability to dissect workflows and make tool recommendations that lead to more efficient and effective processes.
- Must have Localization experience and understand the process of creating localized dubbed audio and subtitles.
- Requires some level of specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise
- Understand of digital content distribution concepts and technologies including EHV, TVOD, SVOD, AVOD, PayTV, Hotels, etc.
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with production and post-production workflows and UHD, HDR, and Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos technologies.
- Ability to question the way we do things and recommend alternative solutions that drive impact for the business.
- Comfortable using various data management systems and tools (e.g. Google and Microsoft suites, Smartsheet, Airtable, & Tableau).
- Thorough understanding of data security best practices a plus.

The hiring range for this position in California is $94,200 to $115,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
