Position Overview:

The Dual Language Copywriter will create compelling, clear, and culturally relevant content in both Arabic and English, contributing to organisation’s storytelling and brand narrative across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for a skilled writer who understands the nuances of both languages and can adapt messaging to align with our global brand voice. Working closely with the Creative Director, design team, and other internal stakeholders, the Copywriter will play a vital role in amplifying our brand’s message to diverse audiences.

Job Description:

Bilingual Content Creation

  • Develop engaging, accurate, and culturally relevant copy in both Arabic and English across digital, print, and multimedia platforms, including websites, social media, email, press releases, and advertising.
  • Tailor messaging for each language, ensuring that cultural nuances, tone, and style are preserved and align with organisation’s brand identity.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure a seamless integration of text and visuals across all creative assets.

Brand Consistency and Tone

  • Ensure consistency of tone and messaging across all communications, accurately reflecting the organisation’s brand voice in both languages.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to establish and maintain bilingual brand guidelines, ensuring that copy aligns with our values, tone, and strategic goals.
  • Act as a brand steward, refining language for maximum impact and clarity while preserving meaning across translations.

Content Adaptation and Localization

  • Adapt global campaigns and content for regional audiences, ensuring that each language resonates with the target demographic and cultural context.
  • Conduct cultural and language checks, making sure all communications respect regional sensitivities and preferences.
  • Proofread and edit bilingual content to guarantee linguistic accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Support the team with translation and adaptation needs on an ongoing basis, ensuring quick turnaround times and high-quality output.
  • Provide guidance to other departments on best practices for bilingual content creation and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a copywriting or content creation role, with a focus on bilingual (Arabic/English) content, ideally in a global brand or agency environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both Arabic and English, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across different types of content.
  • Proven experience with content localization, translation, and cultural adaptation.
  • Strong knowledge of Arabic-speaking markets and a keen understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivities.
  • Experience working across multiple content platforms, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
