Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Online Editor with a background in the IT industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in marketing or sales, exceptional German language skills, and expertise in managing stakeholder relationships. This individual will be responsible for content creation, editing, and translation, while also utilizing AI tools to enhance content quality. A deep understanding of marketing campaigns, social media, and the ability to craft compelling whitepapers and other relevant content are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Editing: Develop and edit high-quality online content, including blog posts, whitepapers, marketing copy, social media messages, and more. Ensure content is engaging, clear, and accurate.
  • AI-Assisted Content Generation: Leverage AI tools and platforms to streamline content creation processes and enhance content quality, ensuring relevance and clarity.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and technical teams, ensuring content aligns with overall business goals.
  • Marketing & Sales Understanding: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to craft targeted content that supports campaigns, drives customer engagement, and enhances brand presence.
  • German Language Proficiency: Edit and proofread content in German, ensuring linguistic accuracy, grammar, and proper tone. Assist with translation needs and localization of content for the German-speaking audience.
  • Interviewing & Research: Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), gather insights, and translate technical jargon into understandable, audience-friendly content.
  • Translation and Localization: Translate content from English to German (and vice versa) as needed, ensuring that the content is not only linguistically accurate but culturally relevant for the target audience.
  • Social Media Content: Create compelling and concise social media messages tailored to various platforms, maintaining the brand voice and ensuring engagement.
  • Whitepaper Creation: Research and develop in-depth whitepapers on industry-specific topics, highlighting key trends, solutions, and thought leadership within the IT space.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in online content editing, with a background in the IT industry and understanding of marketing/sales processes.
  • Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in German is essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English is also required.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with AI-powered content creation tools and digital platforms (e.g., content management systems, SEO tools, etc.).
  • Content Strategy & Marketing: Strong understanding of marketing campaigns, content strategies, and how online content fits into broader sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Research & Interviewing: Excellent research skills and the ability to conduct insightful interviews with both technical and non-technical experts to gather relevant content.
  • Social Media Expertise: Ability to create social media content that is engaging, shareable, and aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong proofreading and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
  • Education: A degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing and content strategies within the tech or IT sectors.
