We are seeking a highly motivated Globalization Quality Program Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote with preference for EST time zone to overlap with team in Canada and EMEA.
This role involves managing key programs across quality planning, assurance, and control processes. It requires strong collaboration with the Globalization team and cross-functional partners to ensure the highest standards of quality. The ultimate goal is to measure, optimize, and sustain quality throughout the Globalization process, driving positive impact on company revenue.
Responsibilities
- Execute and refine the overall quality program strategy for the Globalization team, aligning with broader team goals and KPIs.
- Build robust quality processes that meet the team’s evolving needs, including creating and maintaining clear documentation, providing training, and offering 1:1 support. Serve as the quality expert in the development of linguistic resources and team processes.
- Collect quality data to guide decisions on strategy, budget, initiatives, and vendor resources. Collaborate with vendors to score and validate data using the quality evaluation framework. Assess the impact of quality initiatives and identify trends or gaps.
- Report quality findings on a regular basis to the Globalization team and external stakeholders.
- Meet with the localization vendor regularly to analyze quality data, identify opportunities for improvement, manage escalations, develop and refine processes, and maintain accountability for quality metrics.
- Build and maintain relationships with all Globalization sub-teams as well as key stakeholders and vendors to align quality efforts with business goals.
- Assess existing tools and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize them through automation as a way to enhance scalability, productivity and efficiency.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in the localization industry, with a focus on program management, vendor management, localization quality assurance, and delivering multi-layered projects involving cross-functional collaboration.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Comfortable with data analytics, with extensive experience working with data management tools and advanced analytical platforms.
- Experience running QA programs, including Terminology Management and Style Guide creation.
- Experience working with quality measurement frameworks/models (e.g. DQF).
- Experience working with multiple TMS, CMS and other translation and content management tools.
- Ability to describe linguistic challenges, cultural questions and concepts to stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail, flexibility and ability to excel in a fast-paced multicultural team.
- Strong communication skills paired with excellent presentation skills.
- Comfortable through ambiguity, with the ability to influence others and build trust.
- Nice to have: Experience with Machine Translation, MT quality evaluation and process automation.
