Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer specializing in localization to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for adapting and creating visual assets that cater to diverse audiences in multiple languages and cultures. You’ll collaborate with the localization team, product managers, and other designers to ensure brand consistency while tailoring designs for global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Localization of Visual Assets:
- Adapt existing designs (such as marketing materials, user interfaces, and packaging) for specific languages and cultural contexts.
- Modify layouts, fonts, and graphics to accommodate text expansion or contraction and ensure readability.
- Design Creation:
- Create culturally appropriate graphics, icons, and templates for global audiences.
- Design assets for use across digital and print media, ensuring compatibility with localized content.
- Collaboration and Feedback:
- Work closely with translators, localization managers, and developers to deliver culturally resonant visuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain brand integrity across regions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all designs adhere to cultural norms and avoid regionally inappropriate visuals.
- Conduct thorough reviews to ensure alignment with linguistic and design requirements.
- Process Improvement:
- Develop and document best practices for localizing graphics.
- Stay updated on design trends and localization standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Strong understanding of typography and multilingual text formatting (e.g., right-to-left languages, CJK characters).
- Knowledge of cultural sensitivities, color symbolism, and design preferences across regions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
