Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hebrew Translator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating written content from Hebrew to English (and vice versa), ensuring the accuracy, cultural relevance, and fluency of the translations. The ideal candidate will have native-level proficiency in Hebrew, strong language skills, and an understanding of cultural nuances. You will be expected to handle various types of translation projects, including documents, websites, marketing materials, legal texts, or multimedia content, depending on the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translation of Written Content:
  • Accurately translate texts from Hebrew to [Target Language] and vice versa, ensuring that the meaning, tone, and context are preserved.
  • Translate a variety of content, such as marketing materials, legal documents, websites, technical manuals, business correspondence, social media posts, subtitles, or any other relevant material.
  • Proofread and edit translated content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and proper syntax in the target language.
  • Maintain High-Quality Standards:
  • Ensure that all translations maintain cultural relevance and contextual accuracy by understanding the specific terminology and tone appropriate for different subject matters.
  • Conduct thorough research on technical, legal, or industry-specific terminology to ensure translations are precise and reflect the right context.
  • Collaborate with Teams:
  • Work closely with project managers, content creators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Be proactive in asking for clarification when necessary to ensure high-quality, accurate translations.
  • Review and Revise Translations:
  • Review and revise your translations, as well as those of others, to ensure they meet organizational and client expectations.
  • Implement feedback from clients or senior translators to refine and improve translation quality.
  • File Management & Organization:
  • Keep track of translation projects, deadlines, and relevant documentation.
  • Maintain organized files and records of translations for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Native or Near-Native Proficiency in Hebrew: Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Hebrew, with a strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances.
  • Proven Translation Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional translation experience, ideally in a specific field (e.g., legal, technical, medical, marketing, etc.)
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to provide accurate, error-free translations that maintain the integrity and meaning of the original text.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding of the cultural differences and nuances between Hebrew-speaking communities and [Target Language]-speaking audiences.
  • Excellent Time Management: Ability to handle multiple translation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in localization of websites, software, or multimedia content.
  • Understanding of the Israeli legal system (if translating legal documents).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles for translating digital content.
  • Knowledge of marketing copywriting or advertising terminology (if applicable to the job).
