Job Title: Japanese Translator

Location: MNL/KL

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Japanese Translator who will translate key materials for client consultations and marketing resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of localization practices, particularly in technical and marketing content, and will be committed to delivering accurate, culturally relevant translations.

Key Responsibilities:

PPT Report Translation

  • Translate PowerPoint reports (UCM-related) used in pre-consultations with clients.
  • Ensure the translated content is clear and effective for client presentations.

Help Page Translation

  • Translate customer-facing help pages to build client trust and improve usability.
  • Ensure translations are culturally appropriate and user-friendly.

UI User Experience Improvement

  • Provide feedback and translation for UI text, ensuring it is natural and intuitive for Japanese-speaking users.
  • Work closely with the Microsoft system team to implement UI improvements.

Marketing Resources Translation

  • Translate various marketing materials, such as one-pagers and product guides, for client distribution.
  • Ensure consistency and brand alignment in all translations.

Email Template Translation

  • Translate core service and top SMB email templates for advocates.
  • Standardize translations to ensure clarity and professionalism in communication.

Product Roadmap Translation

  • Translate product roadmap documents, especially when clients inquire about feature availability.
  • Keep translations up to date with product updates.

Qualifications:

  • Language Proficiency: Japanese fluency with strong writing and editing skills.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English with the ability to translate complex concepts naturally and accurately.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in translation or localization, ideally within technology, marketing, or related fields. (Familiarity with localization tools and best practices is a plus.)
  • Cultural Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Japanese culture, business practices, and customer expectations.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong proofreading skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality translations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms used in translation and localization.

Additional Preferred Capabilities:

  • Experience translating for technology or software companies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products and services.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles as they relate to translation.
