Job description
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Japanese Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese, with a minimum N2 level of Japanese proficiency (JLPT). The translator will be responsible for accurately translating documents, websites, and other materials from Japanese to English and vice versa.
Responsibilities:
· Translate software documentation, user guides, and technical content from Japanese to English and vice versa.
· Act as the primary point of contact for Japanese-speaking clients, facilitating clear communication and understanding.
· Translate customer emails, support requests, and other client communications to ensure smooth interactions.
· Assist in localizing software interfaces and features to meet the needs of Japanese customers.
· Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure translations are accurate and contextually appropriate.
· Provide real-time interpretation during client meetings or calls as needed.
· Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when translating both technical and non-technical content.
· Help with cultural nuances and ensure that all translations align with Japanese business etiquette and practices.
Requirements:
· Minimum JLPT N2 certification or equivalent proficiency in Japanese.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Culture or Similar Interest from reputed University.
· Experience in translation or localization, preferably in the software or technology industry.
· Strong proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese and English.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with customers in a professional and clear manner.
· Ability to handle technical terminology related to software development and IT.
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
