Afrasia Trans is a global content localization company located in Giza, Egypt, specializing in connecting enterprises with diverse audiences in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. We offer a range of tailored solutions including translation, localization, desktop publishing, and multimedia services in multiple languages. Our partner-centric approach ensures that our solutions meet the specific needs of each region and audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage translation projects from initiation to delivery, including project planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Coordinate with translators, editors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of translations
  • Review and track project timelines, milestones, and deadlines
  • Identify and resolve potential issues or conflicts that may impact project timelines or quality
  • Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including general manager, branches’ coordinators, and translators
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards for translation projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with branches’ coordinators, translators, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area (eg. Faculty of Linguistics & Translation, Faculty of Education, English studies, Faculty of Arts, English studies, or Faculty of Al-Alsun, English studies)
  • 2+ years of experience in translation project management is a MUST.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs)
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (e.g., Trados)
  • Familiarity with industry-standard translation quality control processes.

Additional skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing and multimedia localization
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field
