The primary responsibility of this role is to perform various tasks related to localization of content available in the Amazon Prime Video catalog, under general supervision. This is permanent position.
Key job responsibilities
The Day To Day Job Requires The Individual To Make Judgment-based Decisions By Following a Standard Operating Procedure. This Will Involve Tasks Such As
- Localizing SDH/Subtitles and metadata synopsis from English to LATAM ES
- Quality check subtitles/metadata assets for translation accuracy (idiomatic, spelling, grammar, punctuation)
- Lead quality audits to benchmark localized content and perform corrections
- Create or fix subtitle, metadata and ensure high quality localization of content
- Provide inputs to update Prime Video’s style guides to continue to raise the bar on customer experience
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Linguistics, Translation, or related field /
Proficiency in LATAM Spanish, with a deep understanding of regional variations and colloquialisms.
6+ Months experience in an English contact center environment or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in subtitling and metadata localization for SDH content, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work in this area.
Familiarity with subtitling software and tools, such as Aegisub or Subtitle Edit.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for subtitling and localization in the entertainment industry.
Additional language skills or experience in other localization tasks (e.g. dubbing, translation) would be a plus.
Demonstrated strong analytical and logical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability on internal and external stakeholder management.
Comfort working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
