We’re looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to join our team to build scalable frontend applications for a diverse range of language service products.
As a Lead Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience, and leading the technical aspects of frontend and backend teams. You will work closely with top-level client company staff to gather requirements, propose design solutions, and implement them in line with business goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, skilled in soliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders, and capable of setting up processes, leading teams, and taking responsibility for technical decisions.
🎯 Must-Have for the position:
— 4+ years of experience with React;
— Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript;
— Experience with Next.js;
— Experience with PostgreSQL;
— Experience with managing teams and processes;
— Experience with backend technologies (APIs, databases) at a basic level to oversee backend team efforts;
— Proven ability to defend technical solutions and processes in discussions with management.
— Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.;
— Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API;
— Familiarity with UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards;
— English Level: Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

— Experience working directly with client stakeholders.;
— Experience with generating POCs ideas and JIRA tasks out of client ideas;
— Experience in estimating required work.
— Prior experience working with international, distributed teams;

— Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to understand and fulfill their needs effectively;
— Address client challenges and requests with patience and diligence, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction;
— Operate comfortably in an idea-driven environment, often working without solid requirements, while leveraging pre-established UI/UX designs;
— Transform client ideas into Proof of Concept (POC) solutions and JIRA tasks to streamline and minimize delivery timelines;
— Provide accurate work estimations for planned tasks and projects;
— Lead the technical aspects of frontend development, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and best practices;
— Set up and optimize development processes for the frontend team;
— Support and oversee backend efforts, ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications;
— Act as the right hand of the Technical Lead, executing their business vision and contributing to technical decision-making;
— Engage with senior client staff to complete tasks that align with the client company’s strategic goals;
— Proactively gather requirements and details from non-technical stakeholders, propose design solutions, and implement them effectively.

The client’s company is a full-service language solutions provider offering services like translation, localization, interpretation, and language training. They cater to diverse industries, including government, healthcare, legal, education, and technology. Their expertise extends to technical and marketing translation, software and website localization, and eLearning adaptation. They emphasize quality assurance, employing rigorous processes to ensure consistency and accuracy in their work. Their solutions also include advanced desktop publishing for multilingual content and consulting on improving translation workflows.
Tech Stack: JavaScript, NodeJS, Typescript, NextJS, Postgresql (or any other SQL based DB), AWS infrastructure and/or Azure;
Team Composition: A distributed team consisting of frontend and backend developers, UI/UX designers, and a tech lead.
