We are seeking an organized and self-driven professional passionate about gaming and localization. As a Localization Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in translating, localizing, and quality-checking content for all the new games, ensuring an exceptional experience for LATAM Spanish-speaking players. This position offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects while collaborating with teams across multiple functions. You will ensure that our games are localized accurately for the target markets and meet the highest quality standards before launch.
Responsibilities:
- Translate and localize in-game content, including events, patches, updates, and new items, from English to LATAM Spanish.
- Support the marketing team by localizing communication assets, such as banners, videos, and promotional materials.
- Conduct periodic Localization QA (LQA) tests to ensure translations are accurately implemented in-game and in marketing assets.
- Collaborate with local and global teams on special projects like dubbing, website localization, and other unique content needs.
- Coordinate translation efforts with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating flexibility to manage both translation and project management tasks.
- Localize and design in-game content, marketing materials, and product documentation, ensuring consistency in tone, terminology, and cultural relevance.
- Collaborate closely with the Overseas Regional Team to align on localization and operational needs, ensuring seamless execution across global markets.
- Review localized content and suggest improvements based on language and cultural nuances, maintaining the quality of the gaming experience for all users.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in localization roles within the tech industry, including video games, creative and audiovisual industries, mobile apps, web development, or digital marketing.
- Degree in Translation, English, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Perfect grammar and spelling in LATAM Spanish.
- Highly detail-oriented with a thorough approach to LQA testing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
- Proficiency in CAT tools (such as MemoQ, Trados, and XTM) is required.
- Passion for the gaming industry is a bonus!
- This is an on-site position based in Mexico City (near Angel de la Independencia).
