We’re looking for a Localization Product Manager to drive our localization efforts, providing key insights and recommendations on translation strategies and improving how our content resonates with international audiences.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze and assess localization needs across our website and internal systems.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize localization, translation quality, and consistency.
- Execution & Ownership: Ability to not only recommend improvements but also manage daily localization tasks in product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX, content, and marketing, to ensure localization is the best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements in translation workflows, tools, and vendor management.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of localization efforts, leveraging analytics and user feedback.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in localization and translation.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: at least 2 years in localization, product management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of at least one industry TMS (Lokalise, Crowdin, Smartling, etc.)
- Terminology bases and translation memories management.
- Machine translation post-editing (MTPE), LLM-based translations and prompt engineering
- Expertise: Strong understanding of localization strategies, translation processes, and related tools.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving localization challenges.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally to align localization efforts with business goals.
- Experience with localization platforms and CMS tools.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
- Willingness to take on tasks and responsibilities from other product areas when needed.
- Fluency in one or more languages other than English.
