Our Customer is an American computer and consumer electronics company famous for creating phones and computers. As one of the largest companies globally with a market cap of over 2 trillion dollars, it is a major leader in the space. Although this company was founded in 1976 it has transformed how we connect and communicate worldwide.

We are seeking a Localization Project Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is onsite in Cupertino, CA.

The Localization Project Manager (LPM) is expected to work closely with vendors to outline expectations. The LPM will work with other LPMs, and vendors to ensure that localization projects are on track, relevant to the audience, and represents the company’s voice in the marketplace. The LPM will manage the input of localized data into multiple internal and vendor systems without error. The successful candidate must be highly detail-oriented, and be able to judge and manage linguistic issues for 39 languages and all territories the company covers.

The ideal candidate will be committed to giving non-US customers a user experience equivalent to or superior to that of the US customers by producing localized content.

Localization QA experience is required and software QA experience is preferred.

Must-haves

  • BA degree or equivalent
  • Linguistic skill in language other than English; excellent English communication skills
  • Production experience; localization production preferred
  • Experience in methods of automating workflow a plus
  • Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills
  • Localization QA experience
  • Must possess a solid understanding of online production processes and a passion for meeting the needs of international customers.
  • Apps–related media experience in international marketplace highly desirable; music, TV, Movies – media related experience a plus.
  • Must possess the desire to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment; this role requires flexibility, the ability to wisely prioritize tasks, and rapidly apply keen judgment to complex situations.
