Remote Position
The Localization Project Manager will show active participation in trouble shooting and product management. The PM should have strong client, vendor, and negotiation skills. The role will require working days of Thursday through Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesdays off.
Responsibilities
- Primary Weekend PoC for a specific set of products and client contacts.
- Daily/ Weekend management of all tasks per selected products.
- Ownership of On Time Delivery with the best quality output possible as per client needs
- Understanding the importance of, and contributing to KPI matrices (on time delivery, quality, timely resolutions of issues and queries)
- Anticipate potential problems with assigned projects/products; proactively provide potential solutions/mitigation to internal teams and clients; troubleshoot best practices per project/product
- Drive relationships with client contacts
- Drive forecasting discussions with client contacts and report on the process, time frames, languages with all stakeholders
- Understanding and using tools and processes as they relate to day-to-day work
- Working with PCs for follow ups, job instruction review, and general guidance.
- Learning and working with client-specific tools and platforms
- Source query/bugs monitoring
- As a part of the quality assurance of the final deliverable, PM is responsible to ensure that source queries are assigned and resolved for their product lines.
- Provide troubleshooting for linguists and clients
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years project management and/or language quality management experience working in Localization
- Experience managing a team of onsite and/or offsite linguists
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solver with excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent financial awareness, enthusiastic and hard working
- Self-sufficient and reliable, ability and willingness to learn new tools
- Fluent in English with the ability to communicate clearly in writing (English) and face-to-face online.
- Technical proficiency working with and troubleshooting different computer platforms, tools and ability to understand proprietary systems.
- Ideally the candidate will have/be:
- Degree or Masters in Translation, Business or relevant field
- Previous face to face communications with clients over video chat
- Experience with Google online tools such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.
- Experience documenting process
- Working in a quality certified environment is also a plus (ISO, etc.)
