Job Description:
- We are looking for a passionate Localization Program Manager with native Arabic proficiency to join our team for a 6-month contract.
- In this role, you will play a key part in supporting an initiative for the MENA region, working closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Product, Marketing, Creative, Customer Trust.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize Right-to-Left (RTL) support, identify and resolve internationalization issues relating to the Arabic language.
- Update and maintain the terminology base and Arabic language Style Guide.
- Oversee the translation and linguistic QA processes to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness, fixing issues as they are reported.
- Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Product, Marketing, Creative, Customer Trust, and Partnerships.
- Educate internal teams and stakeholders on MENA-specific considerations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of localization project/program management and/or translation experience.
- Native in verbal and written Arabic as well as an understanding of the Saudi Arabia market and cultural sensitivities.
- Experience managing stakeholders, and cross-organizational dependencies.
- Experience managing localization vendors as it relates to translation and localization QA.
- Experience in video games and/or localization sectors, be it on the client or vendor side.
Preferred Skill:
- Knowledge of Smartling (or similar translation management system)
