Localization Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12 months
Pay: up to $53.15/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a Localization Project Manager to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and will require this person to be fully onsite in Austin, TX.
Localization Project Manager Responsibilities
- Produce Commerce localized content with limited supervision
- Work closely with vendor testers to outline expectations
- Collaborate with other LQAs and LPMs, and vendors to ensure that localization projects are on track, relevant to the audience, and represents the company’s voice in the market place
- Manage the input of localized data into multiple internal and vendor systems without error
- Judge and manage linguistic issues for 39 languages and all relevant territories
- Provide non-US customers a user experience equivalent to or superior to that of US customers by producing localized content for the platform
Localization Project Manager Qualifications:
- BA degree or equivalent
- Native level expertise in at least one language in addition to English
- Production experience; localization production preferred
- Experience in methods of automating workflow a plus
- Localization QA experience and project management ability is essential
- Software QA experience is preferred
- Possess a solid understanding of online production processes and a passion for meeting the needs of international customers
- Wallet, Payment, and Commerce related experience in international marketplace highly desirable; apps, music, TV, Movies – media related experience a plus
- Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Able to wisely prioritize tasks and rapidly apply keen judgment to complex situations
