Hiring Localization Project Coordinator in the Pacific Time Zone.

Job Title: Project Coordinator II(Localization)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage localization schedules from translation to QA to launch. Communicate timelines and test results across our main partners–Localization Program Managers, Language Managers, Engineers, QA, Vendors, and Content Designers.
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, across multiple business units, by setting clear expectations for stakeholders and localizers. Communicate instructions in a clear and timely manner.
  • Ability to execute and create basic test plans for our linguists.
  • Analyze current pain points in workflows and tools, provide suggestions for improvements and pilot implementation of new processes.
  • Make independent decisions and work well under pressure in the face of ambiguity and aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate i18n bugs. Comfortable working with product teams to ensure fixes are done before launch.

Skills:

  • Experience working in Localization, QA, and Project Management
  • Track record of getting products launched in a large set of locales
  • Experience in task prioritization, ability to identify problems and work towards solutions
  • Solid understanding of common challenges with developing products for international markets
  • Familiarity with product and software development process

Must-Have Skills

  • Task Management Tools: Experience using task management tools to organize and track project tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of localization projects.
  • Project Management Skills: managed and enhanced end-to end localization processes for multiple markets and languages, This experience is crucial for coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with various teams, including engineering, marketing, legal, and vendors, which is essential for effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: strong decision-making skills, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing processes, which are important for making independent decisions and working under pressure.
  • Basic tools experience like Asana, JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Background in Localization and Quality Assurance (QA): Familiarity with localization processes and quality assurance practices is beneficial.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with localization platforms and Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, which supports the ability to create test plans and analyze workflows effectively.
