Localization Project Manager, Globalization

One of the world’s leading technology companies is seeking a Globalization Quality Program Manager to support its efforts in delivering seamless, fully localized experiences for international markets. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented localization professional with experience in quality assurance, program management, and vendor coordination. You will play a key role in developing, executing, and refining quality management processes, ensuring localization efforts meet the highest standards and drive business growth.

This opportunity to support global expansion initiatives at a globally recognized company begins as a 12-month W2 contract, offering a 100% remote schedule, competitive benefits, and the potential for extension or conversion to permanent employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality management strategy for the Globalization team, ensuring alignment with business goals and KPIs.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, including documentation, training, and best practices for localization efforts.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate quality data to inform strategy, budgeting, and vendor resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to score and assess localization quality, using established evaluation frameworks to identify trends and gaps.
  • Report quality insights and findings to internal teams and stakeholders, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with localization vendors to analyze quality metrics, optimize workflows, and manage escalations, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and optimize localization tools, leveraging automation to enhance scalability, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Serve as a quality expert in the development of linguistic resources, terminology management, and style guides to maintain localization consistency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in the localization industry, with a focus on program management, vendor management, and localization quality assurance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with data analytics and quality measurement frameworks/models (e.g., DQF).
  • Proven ability to manage QA programs, including terminology management and style guide creation.
  • Hands-on experience with translation management systems (TMS), content management systems (CMS), and other localization tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate linguistic and cultural challenges to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive process improvements.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and collaborating across teams to enhance localization quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Machine Translation (MT) quality evaluation and process automation.
  • Background in data analytics platforms to assess and optimize localization performance.
