Localization Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:

•Product: E-commerce

•Perform and adapt within a fast-paced and high context-switching environment.

•Customize test planning, manage timeline and design test cases for E-commerce’s consumer/provider ends localization testing projects.

•Collaborate with product teams on requirement clarification and expedite ticket closure.

•Execute PC and mobile app localization testing emphasizing on native user experience such as choice of word, datetime/currency format, cultural factor and overall product experience. Using tools like Starling key, Anydoor, ModHeader, i18nspect tool, Libra A/B testing, Olympus, Astrolabe.

•Construct and convey test findings, improvement and feedbacks to the product teams via data driven curated report.

•Mobile app performance testing using Diggo to measure the fluency such as frame per second (FPS) and jank, and Lazer to calculate time taken for each movement.

•Refine and improve QA process. Initiating retrospective session to enable internal feedback and building a defect tracking dashboard to surface unresolved ticket and promote ticket closure rate.

•Work on technical and functional test strategy and methodology setup.

•Perform various duties related to software quality assurance, function testing, performance testing.

•Find and track the issues that will cause bad user experiences.

•Work with global R&D team and operations team to verify bug fix and recreate issues from user feedback.

Qualifications:

•1-3 year working experience in server level/ client testing experience, software manual testing and have good knowledge of QA methodology and tools.

•Have good case design ability and problem positioning ability.

•Ability to understand and execute test cases.

•English communication for reading and writing and strong analytical problem-solving skill.

•Has a profound understanding of the local culture.

•Chinese speaking is a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

•Experience on Python and Shell programming, test tools or framework such as Charles, UI Automator or Appium.

•Willing to learn new technology and open mind for sharing is a plus

•Bachelor in computer science or software engineering, Master Degree considered as a plus

•Possessing compliance awareness, familiar with such as GDPR or other data privacy regulations.
