Job Description

The successful candidate will be in-charge of managing the entire life-cycle of multiple localization testing projects in a fast-paced environment in close collaboration with the talented global in-house Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) team and our external partner network, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining quality standards.

You will use your localization testing knowledge, project management skills, and innovative thought process to eliminate daily roadblocks as well as to recommend solutions to improve evolving workflows.

Within this role there will be a strong focus on partnership with internal R&D squads, Product Owners/Project Managers, and vendors. Comprehensive understanding of overall SW localization process and ecosystem, including outsourcing, is a must to fulfill this position.

You work as part of Language Services team, reporting on your project operations, and aligning on standards, best practices and expectations.

You should have very strong organization skill to manage multiple localization testing projects a cycle and show a positive attitude towards constantly improving results.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Join Product Development meetings and collaborate with other internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deadlines
  • Conduct comprehensive project analysis and define project type, scope, budget, and potential risks
  • Develop project timeline and assign tasks accordingly to internal team and agencies
  • Provide clear instructions and guidelines to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Monitor projects status and manage risks/escalating critical roadblocks
  • Facilitate effective communication for successful project delivery
  • Closely coordinate with external partners and internal team to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Leverage toolchain and technology to optimize efficiency and maintain consistency
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders throughout project life cycle
  • Maintain project dashboard and provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential issues
  • Report on project delivery and drive retrospect sessions for continuous improvement

Requirements

Minimum

  • 2 years previous experience in the localization industry
  • Strong knowledge of overall localization process and testing needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure under tight deadlines
  • Strong organization skill including ability to multitask, and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented way of working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Advantage

  • Formal training in Project Management
  • Experience as a localization QA tester
  • Education focused on language or computer science & engineering
  • Experience working in a fast-faced global environment
  • Abreast of translation industry trends and evolution
  • Fluent in another language is a plus (French, German, S. Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
