Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Localization Vendor Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage relationships with localization and translation vendors, ensuring high-quality deliverables, cost efficiency, and timely project completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with localization and translation vendors. Negotiate contracts, rates, and service level agreements
- Onboard – Assess and Onboard qualified Linguistic resources to work on various products/projects
- Recruitment: Experience with recruiting Localization resources including SLV’s, Freelancers and MLV’s
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of translations and localization efforts by setting and enforcing quality standards and conducting regular quality assessments
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define Localization requirements, timelines, and budgets. Ensure vendors adhere to project schedules and deliverables
- Performance Monitoring: Track vendor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and regular performance reviews. Implement corrective actions when necessary. Maintain and update the AVL
- Cost Management: Monitor and control localization costs, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Approve invoices and manage vendor payment processes
- Negotiation: Negotiate rates with the linguistic resources and vendor partners
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve localization processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the company and vendors. Facilitate clear and effective communication to resolve issues and provide updates on project status
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in localization and translation to keep the company’s localization strategies current and competitive
- Compliance: Ensure all localization efforts comply with relevant legal, cultural, and regulatory requirements
- Compliance: Ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with ISO9001

Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in localization vendor management.
