Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR, for a Medical Interpreter. The Medical Interpreter will be responsible for facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers by interpreting spoken and signed languages. Daily tasks will include performing simultaneous interpretations, translating medical terminology, and ensuring clear and accurate communication. The interpreter will also be expected to provide interpretation services over the phone, through video remote interpretation, and during scheduled video calls.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Interpretation and Interpreting skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Medical Terminology
- Experience in Simultaneous Interpretation
- Translation skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
