About the job

Us

Despite being younger than many of our competitors (we celebrated 10 years’ anniversary last year), we’ve managed to grow fast and establish ourselves as a trusted brand name when it comes to language solutions in Malaysia, region and beyond.

We are a recognized language service provider offering esteemed, tech-savvy, integrated, and cost-effective solutions. With over a decade of experience in managing language-related projects, we have forged partnerships with top organizations worldwide, delivering professional translation and interpretation services in over 100 languages. Our team of linguists has played a pivotal role in helping world-leading brands transcend cultural barriers and embrace globalization. We take great pride in our services and the resulting satisfaction they bring.

Our workplace

Operating in a hybrid or remote format underscores the importance of trust. At our company, we foster an open and trusting culture by empowering our employees to carry out their responsibilities with minimal supervision and without the need for excessive reporting.

We consider our employees a valuable asset, who add significant value to our company. This is why we’ll provide you with a comfortable and productive work environment with all necessary tools, information, support and advice.

Last but not least we want our employees to leave the company better than they were before they joined Maven, it could be a new skill, new experience, new things that they learn and would be able to capitalize on in the future. When we part our ways we want you not only to have years (hopefully!) of experience with Maven but to learn something new and valuable, to grow not only professionally but as an individual.

Work-life balance

We believe in maintaining a strong work-life balance for our employees. Therefore, we have a strict policy against working after 6 pm or on weekends, except in rare cases when critical projects require it. This policy is not just talk; we practice it daily. We aim to build long-term relationships with our team members and know that working outside standard hours can lead to burnout, which harms everyone.

We discourage our employees from engaging in any work-related activities, including responding to messages or checking emails, outside regular working hours, on weekends, or during public holidays. We understand that even thinking about work during these times can be distracting and prevent full rest. By emphasizing this boundary, we ensure our team members can disconnect and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

About this opportunity and hiring process

Current opening is at our Malaysian office, the candidate would be a local point of contact with our Malaysian clients and stakeholders as well as support for selected international operations. While you’d work from the office (or from your home), your management would be remote and overseas. This is why we’re looking for self-sufficient, independent individuals who are self-starters and who can deliver the work with a can-do attitude and on their own initiative with no supervision.

This opportunity might be good for those who have been working as freelance or full-time translators and who are looking for a stable full time work in the language industry and are keen to gain experience from project-management perspective.
