The Onboarding Project Manager acts as a bridge between the pursuit and delivery teams and is responsible for overseeing the onboarding of Tech Enabled and TE Licensed customers into RWS’s Client Services team.
The role ensures best practices, continuity and alignment across the regions and accelerates time to revenue as effectively and efficiently as possible.
This is a client centric role, participating actively in client stakeholder calls and ensuring client requirements are clearly understood. The Onboarding PM applies technical and professional acumen and provides a consultative approach to ensure the final solution is viable, achievable and meets the client’s needs.
About t He Strategic Content Solutions (SCS)
The Strategic Content Solutions, part of RWS’s Language Services division, works closely with major accounts and clients of all sizes who are going global with specialized localization services. These services cover the entire localization spectrum, from translating content, media, and audio to creating engaging eLearning programs and transcribing highly impactful marketing campaigns. The SCS works closely with RWS’s Language eXperience Delivery (LXD) platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists, and a network of more than 29,000 translators, who use RWS’s proprietary machine translation, AI, and translation productivity tools, to deliver a 24/7 service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Job Overview
- Collaborate with the pursuit team in the advanced stages of the sales cycle to understand the client’s needs
- Perform discovery and information gathering with the client
- Defines client onboarding plans, schedules and controls work for self-and/or others to ensure the accomplishment of objectives
- Becomes revenue-generating and move to business as usual asap
- Create clear and compelling client presentations on proposed solutions
- Partners closely with internal stakeholders to influence the successful implementation of the solution
- Tech Enabled and Trados Unlimited Solution
- Participate actively in client stakeholder discovery calls
- Ensure there is a clear understanding of the client’s needs
- Ensure the solution is clearly documented
- Partner with LTDS colleagues to review the requirements and address any gaps
- Ensure ongoing collaboration through to final implementation
- Ensure the solution has been tested by client and internal stakeholders
- Ensure the client is kept informed of progress on a regular basis
- Collaborate with PS and LTDS to oversee any customization requirements
- TE Licensed Solution
- Participate actively in client stakeholder discovery calls with PS colleagues
- Partner with PS colleagues to ensure there is a clear understanding of the client’s needs
- Ensure the solution is clearly documented
- Ensure customer requirements and use case(s) are clearly understood and reconciled with internal stake holders for operational excellence and best practices
- Be the strategic link throughout the onboarding process between PS and Client services ensuring account teams are kept informed on solution progress on a regular basis
- Ensure the right stakeholders are brought into client calls to minimize client disruption
- Ensure ongoing collaboration, governance, and partnership with PS through to final implementation
- Ensure the solution has been tested and signed off by client and internal stakeholders
- Ensure client is kept informed of progress on a regular basis
- Keep informed/Self-help on RWS technology best practices and evolving features
- Collaborate on continuous process improvement initiatives and drive new feature requirements with tech development on an ongoing basis
- Actively drive postmortems with key stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of RWS TMSs, MT, Evolve and AI technology solutions and operational best practices
- Advanced technical solutions and problem-solving skills

- Microsoft Office: Excellent all-round knowledge of MS products including data/file manipulation, simplification and presentation.

- Localisation Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of all translation processes, ability to support as part of the sales process and understanding of client requirements; understanding of localisation processes for the most complex project types, e.g. multimedia.
- Education: At least a degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 7-12 years’ related experience
