As a Junior Project Coordinator in a translation and localization company, you will be part of a dynamic team, supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of translation and localization projects. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone with 0-1 years of experience in project management or related fields. You will work closely with senior project managers, translators, and clients to ensure smooth project workflows, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards for all deliverables.
Job description:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and tracking of translation and localization projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Vendors, translators, editors, QA specialists, etc.) to ensure timely project delivery.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure that project requirements are met.
- Help manage and allocate resources (translators, editors, tools) for specific projects.
- Ensure that project team members are well-informed of deadlines and project expectations.
- Assist in the creation of project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain and update project management systems and databases.
- Support quality control efforts to ensure the accuracy and consistency of translations and localized content.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, answering queries and ensuring their needs are addressed promptly.
- Assist in managing client feedback and ensuring it is incorporated into project work.
- Participate in internal meetings to discuss project performance and identify areas for process improvement.
- Support the optimization of project workflows and tools.
- Liaising with sales staff to clarify project parameters.
- Managing project finances, including budgeting.
- The management of multiple, Translation/ localization and interpretation projects in a fast‐paced environment.
- Negotiating with vendors.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., translation, linguistics, business, communications) or equivalent experience.
- 0-1 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or related roles; experience in the translation and localization industry is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills; ability to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to think analytically, troubleshoot issues, and find creative solutions to project challenges.
- Independence in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced environment.
- Highly‐developed computer skills (MS Office).
