Our client is a global provider of localization, translation, and content services, this company helps businesses adapt their products, services, and content for international markets. Their offerings include translation, software localization, transcreation, multimedia services, and content management. Remote: Europe – Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm (Irish time)

Summary: The PMO Project Manager role goes beyond traditional project management, encompassing a range of activities that support the team’s diverse needs. The PMO Project Manager collaborates closely with various teams to balance standardized processes with the flexibility required for optimal team function.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage assigned PMO initiatives: Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and efficiently. This includes setting project goals, defining roles and responsibilities, and monitoring progress.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer: Act as a central point for sharing knowledge and best practices within the team, ensuring that all members are up-to-date with the latest information and methodologies.
  • Identify and implement improvements: Continuously assess and enhance processes within assigned areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This involves analyzing current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing solutions.
  • Maintain and update documentation: Ensure all project documentation and auxiliary resources are current and adhere to relevant standards. This includes creating, updating, and managing project plans, reports, and other essential documents.
  • Report on progress: Provide regular updates to the PMO Lead during weekly PMO calls, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
  • Manage collaboration between overlapping teams: Facilitate communication and coordination among teams with overlapping responsibilities or projects. Ensure that all teams are aligned, and any potential conflicts are resolved promptly.

Qualifications:

  • 5 Years + Experience in project management, preferably within a PMO environment.
  • Experience working within large, complex localization programs.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to problem solve and think strategically in a deadline-driven environment
  • Self-sufficient and reliable, with the ability and willingness to learn new tools
  • Experience with AI tools an advantage
  • Ideally, experience working in a quality certified environment, also a plus (ISO, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in process improvement and documentation management.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in project management.
