Job description:

A Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a team to execute targeted initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, market analysis, and the ability to build relationships that align with the company’s ultimate goals.

Responsibilities:

-Lead and mentor the sales team, providing ongoing support to enhance their skills in translation and localization services.

-Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.

-Analyze market trends and client needs to formulate targeted sales strategies that align with company goals.

-Develop annual sales plans and set realistic revenue targets, adjusting strategies as necessary based on performance data.

-Identify and engage potential clients through networking, industry events, and direct outreach.

-Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders in various industries, understanding their localization needs and how we can meet them.

-Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in translation and localization.

-Present findings to senior management and the sales team to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

-Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

-Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage client relationships, and report on sales performance metrics.

-Collaborate with project management and linguist teams to ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

-Partner with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that effective communicate our services.

-Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to translation and localization sales, analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.

-Conduct regular performance reviews with team members to provide feedback and set development goals.

Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in the same industry (translation and localization).

-Proven experience in sales, ideally in translation/localization.

-Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

-Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

-Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.

-Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
