Founded in 2017, Lokalise is a cloud-based translation management system that helps businesses streamline their localization processes. It provides a platform for managing translations of software, websites, mobile apps, and other digital content. Overall, Lokalise helps businesses improve their time-to-market, increase translation quality, and reduce costs associated with localization.

Location

Even though our company operates exclusively on a remote basis, you are required to reside in Europe (continent) and have legal work eligibility within the country you will be based.

About

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Home squad. This squad is responsible for managing parts of our flagship product, such as AI Translations, AI Automations and much more, helping our customers streamline their localisation processes, making them seamless and cost-effective while maintaining high-quality standards.

You Will

  • Design, develop, test, and manage new features across the application, as well as maintain and further expand current features.
  • Balance quality and speed of delivery to enable fast cycles.
  • Work in a cross-functional team with a Product Manager, UX Designer, Engineering Manager and a team of experienced engineers to identify opportunities, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Gain in-depth product knowledge and become familiar with the software localization process over the globe.
  • Offer and promote your improvement ideas on overall product scope, leveraging your expertise.

You Must Have

  • Proven experience on frontend development, within TypeScript, React, modern CSS, and Semantic HTML.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a solid ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic remote startup environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles and architectural patterns
  • Proven experience in testing, including unit and integration.
  • Proven experience with integrating REST APIs.

It will be considered a significant advantage if you bring

  • Experience on templating systems such as Twig, Handlebars, Mustache
  • Experience with NextJS/Remix
