The Role:
The Senior Content Studio/Screen Artist takes the request from Content Production Manager to produce screen imagery with Photoshop, to be featured on all marketing communication materials for Japanese market. This includes the complete rebuilding a range of the clients’ software products as required from Photoshop files and/or screen grabs with additional content (e.g. names and phone numbers in contact lists; email messages; photography), converting low resolution imagery into high resolution files for use in multiple assets and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build screen imagery in Photoshop/AI format, with extensive usage and application of “Smart Objects”, “Layer Styles”, and “Adjustment Layers.”
- Receive localization briefs from the Content Production Manager and be able to convert an existing Photoshop asset into a specific language while maintaining the original level of quality and detail.
- Localize screen files with accurate formatting of copy provided by WW team to global screen standards
- Photo retouching for all lifestyle images and for complex campaign imagery to be used for Japan to client’s art direction.
- Sync up with WW team on software and standards updates and evolving technical requirements.
- Adhere to an exact and established graphic production process, which includes maintaining consistency in font usage, colour profiles, filename conventions, structuring of archived assets, and handing-off localized assets.
- Memorize localization guidelines and actively be on the lookout for any asset that falls out of given guideline.
- Ensure and manage the consistency of assets organized on the server
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in graphic production at a design firm, ad agency or interactive shop
- Flexible, creative, solution-oriented individual with advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite’s Photoshop/Illustrator
- Knowledge of image and production specific needs for image reproduction; including website builds, POS, Motion Graphics and email marketing
- Proficiency in OS & iOS software is a plus
- Advanced photo retouching skills
- Accurate, excellent memory and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding creative and production environment. Flexibility is key to this role as well as working beyond the 9:00-18:00 framework and occasionally at weekends
- Native level Japanese speaker. Proficiency in written and oral English is strongly preferred
- Must be able to work on-site at the client office in Tokyo when required
- Understanding of the Japanese market
