Senior Language Quality Lead

Position Summary

The Senior Language Quality Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing language-related activities such as asset and tool management, language process and quality management, and terminology management adhering to the defined customer requirements and customer-specific language strategies, as well as internal methodology of language processes.

What You Will Do

  • Provides input on client proposals and expectations, leads and coordinates linguistic activities to enable successful execution of projects and deliveries to improve customer outcomes.
  • Carries out RCA of issues on account level, modifies processes, assets or work practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversees creation of the client review instruction templates.
  • Coordinates and manages the execution of assigned language tasks.
  • Carries out complex source text analysis to assess the linguistic requirements and terminology needs and then also prepares instructions for internal team members and external translation partners, as required.
  • Assesses potential linguistic issues and makes recommendations on risks, contingencies, and localization strategies on complex projects.
  • Manages complex linguistic issues and queries during the project life cycle.
  • Develops and implements linguistic assets, such as Translation Memories, glossaries, style guides, and CAT/CAR tool configurations.
  • Manages terminology to ensure compliance with subject matter specialization, standards, and customer specific needs.
  • Assists in the implementation of work processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality of work.
  • Manages customer feedback and complaints and communicates with clients as appropriate.
  • Updates Language processes and work practices.
  • Monitors customer quality metrics and contributes to quality plans.
  • Monitors partner performance and collaborates with partners to provide feedback and define improvement plans.
  • Communicates clearly, precisely, and effectively about the assigned tasks with all stakeholders.

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Good knowledge of language technology concepts and tools, e.g., Translation Memories, Computer Assisted Translation, Computer Assisted Revision, Machine Translation.
  • Process and quality oriented with the ability to execute tasks to achieve high-quality results.
  • Ability to write/maintain project documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong collaboration within remote teams.
  • Ability to work on complex and/or global projects.
