Job Title: Technical Localization Project Manager

Job Overview:
Responsible for managing the localization and internationalization of Google’s products, such as Android, Search, and others, ensuring they are adapted to meet the needs of global users. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders, including product, engineering, and vendor teams, to deliver high-quality localized experiences. This role requires operational expertise, stakeholder management skills, and a solid analytical mindset to ensure seamless global product launches.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5-6 years in program or project management (more senior candidates welcome).
- Technical Background: Experience in a technical field is a plus.
- Product Familiarity: Knowledge of Google products, particularly in Search, Commerce, or Maps (Geo), is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Language Skills: English fluency required; additional language skills not necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the localization and internationalization of Google products, ensuring they align with local market needs and user expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across product, engineering, and vendor teams to support successful localization efforts.
- Manage project delivery, costs, and quality from start to finish, ensuring timely execution of localization projects.
- Navigate complex projects with diverse teams, providing strategic insights and addressing escalations as needed.
- Analyze localization workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with Operations and Engineering for efficient deployment.
- Develop and present business cases for new opportunities, including product language expansion and process improvements, to influence decision-makers.
