Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is the front-line relationships manager charged with preserving, improving client and resource relationships. They enable their team members to successfully manage their respective projects and act as the escalation point and subject matter expert for any questions and guidance for his team as well as the main coordination between their team and other departments.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Everything they do in project management is focused on providing an exceptional customer experience. To accomplish this, the Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for the entire life cycle of the client experience for all projects in his/her area.

1 – Project Planning

The smooth execution of a project depends to a large degree on good planning and ensuring that all stakeholders are in full agreement as to process, budget, timelines, deliverables as well as the agreed method of communication during the project and between project cycles.

For a project manager in the translations/localisation business, the proper education of the client is an integral part.

The careful planning and selection of all resources needed to deliver the project within the timelines and within budget.

2 – Execution

The Senior project manager oversees the execution of their own projects as well as the projects executed by their team members and is ultimately responsible to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned as to timelines, details, and any needed coordination throughout the execution phase.

3 – Project completion and follow-up

Upon successful completion and delivery of the project, the Senior Project Manager ensures that any follow up calls are done with the involved stakeholders.

4 – Client Relationship

For any recurring and/or contracted clients, the Senior Project manager is fully responsible for maintaining the relationship with the clients and all requesters. Here again the Senior project manager ensures that all prep work, agreements and planning is done well ahead of the start of project execution.

Qualifications

Education:

  • College diploma, university degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in English

Experience and Proficiencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in Localization Project Management, managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience dealing with middle managers and senior managers in client/partner relationships
