The Role:
The Senior Transcreation Account Manager (STAM) is responsible for project managing localization work for the clients Marketing Communications (Marcom) team. The STAM works closely with the clients Marcom Project Manager, the client’s Creative Director as well as a network of creative talents from various markets.
This person’s area of responsibility is two-fold:
In conjunction with the client’s Project Managers, they will will be responsible for project managing creative localization projects incl. Transcreation of headlines and other advertising projects and they will actively manage the schedule and delivery of these projects. There is a strong need to understand the nature of creative work, the way creative writers and editors think while also considering time factors and the requirements of other production teams. Understanding where this creative portion of work sits within the whole Marketing Communication will facilitate success in this role.
The ideal candidate also needs to engage with other cross-functional teams of producers and project managers to ensure work is delivered on time, on quality and within budget. Constant need to communicate and negotiate priorities and deadlines with internal and external teams to ensure expectations are well managed are required. Additional tasks include organising and coordinating schedules, distributing workload, tracking progress of projects and allocated budget.
You will focus on building strong relationship with the Client Talent Network and briefing new projects accurately. Creative and strategic thinking, strong organization and time management skills are required, together with a focus on quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative project Management
- Understand all the project requirements following a brief from the worldwide client.
- Align your approach with all client’s stakeholders including Creative Director and Marcom Project Manager.
- Plan the schedule and timely delivery and thoroughly communicate with all parties including Hogarth Language Lead, Transcreation Team and production teams.
- Coordinate and ensure all parties follow the agreed workflows and manage them through the process
- Work alongside and support client’s Project Manager when briefing and tracking projects through to completion
- Be a strategic partner to both client stakeholders, Hogarth teams as well as freelance creative writers and editors
- Ensure that trackers are updated at all times and use technology to help you achieve timelines and goals
- Track the project and update actual numbers as required and necessary
- Monitor timelines and manage client expectations
- Monitor budget utilization and flag potential issues
- Monitor and regularly discuss with the client creative and PM stakeholders the quality of creative headlines and flag any quality concerns.
- Monitor internal workflows and identify areas for improvement
- Advise line manager on resource gaps and flag potential issues
- Work closely with talent manager in delivering recruitment briefs on time
- Identify bottle necks/pain points for the validation network and suggest resolution
- Identify training requirements for team members to ensure their adherence to processes and workflow
Linguistic Network Partner
- Be a strategic partner to a network of network of creative people and ensure they are motivated to perform
- Understand where there might be questions from the network and be actively involved in finding the answer/solution
- Review talent performance and drive constant performance improvement by working closely with talent manager and providing regular feedback on all talent
- Highlight and resolve quality control issues with the network
- Look at process and service improvements across the Network (recruitment, tracking and workflow)
- Support on recruitment requirements across validators if necessary.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Co-ordinate between all relevant parties: Hogarth team, Client MPM and creative team and cross-functional teams and linguistic network
- Understand production teams’ timing requirements and plan the project accordingly
- Set and manage client expectations for deliverables and timeframes
- Understand and work under the confidentiality policy
- Build strong, trusting relationships with all key client stakeholders
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years Creative Project Management/Traffic background experience preferred in an ad agency or in-house creative department
- Demonstrate a passion for creative work
- Demonstrable experience in managing large scale and creatively complex projects
- Experience managing multi-market and multi-lingual projects
- Experience working on global brands, ideally across all media, including print, interactive and film
- Demonstrable experience managing total creative workflow, i.e. internal briefing, briefing to vendors/studios, managing key milestones / deadlines, presentations / internal approvals, executions, delivery
- Proven project management and strategic skills
- Self-driven, organized and have an eye for detail
- Extremely proficient with technology and tools
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in high-pressure situations and tight time frames
- A hands-on, can do approach to solving problems
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Must be able to travel as required, sometimes several weeks at a time
