Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sign Language Coordinator at Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled in Kolkata. The Sign Language Coordinator will be responsible for communication, translation, language services, localization, and education to support and empower visually impaired, disabled, and underprivileged individuals.
Qualifications
- Communication and Language Services skills
- Translation skills
- Knowledge of localization practices
- Experience in education or related field
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Understanding of sign language and its nuances
- Previous experience working with disabled or underprivileged individuals is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Education, or related field
