Job Description Summary

The “Project Manager – Latin America Localizations ERP and Local Applications” will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of projects related to the localization of ERP – Oracle and SAP – and other local applications across Latin America. This role will be part of the FP&A, Controllership & Tax organization within the IT team. The project manager will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes. The role will involve managing complex project requirements, coordinating efforts between various teams, and ensuring the project is executed within scope, on time, and on budget. Comprehensive knowledge of local regulations.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business, functional partners, and IT leadership to define localization requirements for ERP and local applications specific to the Latin American market.
  • Outline and execute multi-generational project strategies aligned to meet the localization needs and objectives of the FP&A, Controllership, and Tax organization.
  • Define execution methodologies and establish project management practices tailored to the localization of ERP and local applications.
  • Organize project teams comprising internal and external experts, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of localization projects by working closely with global and regional technical teams.
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple localization projects and track shared outcomes to meet organizational goals.
  • Support project teams in resolving roadblocks and managing interdependencies specific to Latin American requirements and regulations.
  • Ensure that localization risks, scope changes, and other project variations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide clear communication and progress reporting to stakeholders at all levels, including leadership and executives, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Verify that all project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and business needs.
  • Track the realization of project outcomes, measure customer satisfaction, and gather lessons learned for future localization efforts.
  • Perform financial reviews and track the project budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge or experience with a minimum of significant experience of project management, particularly in ERP localization projects or IT systems implementations in Latin America.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT localization projects, including ERP or financial system localizations, preferably in the Latin American region.
  • Strong experience implementing Oracle and/or SAP ERPs.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese with a strong understanding of local business practices, tax regulations, and localization requirements.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven ability to apply project management methodologies to deliver business value, especially in the context of ERP localization projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local regulations and tax requirements.
  • Experience managing complex budgets and ensuring financial tracking throughout project lifecycles.
  • Deep understanding of project and portfolio management methodologies, with a track record of implementing shared standards across IT localization projects.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and SAP implementation procedures and methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence outcomes and organize cross-functional teams to meet localization project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate effectively across multiple languages and cultural contexts.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage localization projects with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, particularly those relevant to ERP and local business applications.
  • Knowledge on cloud solutions as well as infrastructure architecture.
  • Expertise on LatAm Bolt-Ons, mainly for eBilling solutions and customs reporting.
  • Strong team player who collaborates well with cross-functional and global teams to address localization challenges and implement solutions.
  • Analytical problem solver, capable of making decisions based on complex localization data and anticipating issues unique to the Latin American market.
  • PMP, ScrumMaster, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
