Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Tamil<>English Interpreter at SEAtongue. The interpreter will be responsible for facilitating communication between Tamil and English speakers, accurately interpreting spoken language in a variety of settings, and maintaining confidentiality and impartiality. The role may involve live interpretation, video remote interpretation, or phone interpretation based on client needs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tamil and English language interpretation
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Knowledge of cultural differences and sensitivities in both languages
- Ability to remain neutral and unbiased during interpretation
- Experience in interpretation or translation services is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology in sectors like healthcare or legal is beneficial
- Relevant certification or training in interpretation
