Audio Team Manager – Berlin

Tasks:

  • Oversee and manage the Audio team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, including Audio Leads, Artistic Directors, Sound Engineers, Project Managers, and Linguistic Coordinators, to ensure seamless audio production workflows and timely deliveries.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Efficiently distribute workload and tasks within the team, ensuring the availability of internal and external resources as well as partner studios.
  • Supervise delivery schedules, budgets, workflows, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Develop and implement audio production strategies to enhance the quality and efficiency of localization projects.
  • Manage the audio localization process end-to-end, including voice-over recording, sound effects, dubbing, and mixing.
  • Review and accept project materials for completeness and quality.
  • Prepare recording materials and provide equipment for our recording studios.
  • Hand over voice recordings to internal and external post-production and quality assurance teams.
  • Track time, create order confirmations, and process invoices for freelancers.
  • Revise, expand, and optimize existing workflows.
  • Provide organizational support regarding recording schedules, voice actor contracts, and voice actor communication.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal key members, voice actors, freelancers, and contractors.
  • Assess the suitability of new partner studios and freelancers, and onboard them into internal systems and processes with the support of the internal community team.

Profile:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a management position, or 5+ years of professional experience in voice recording and project management, preferably in the video game industry.
  • Degree in one of the following areas: project management, music production, music management, media studies, media management, audio engineering, sound design, or game design.
  • Proficient knowledge of Pro Tools or comparable Digital Audio Workstations such as Logic Pro, Cubase, or Ableton.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in fluent German (at least C2) and English (at least C2).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Berlin talent and dubbing industry is highly desirable.
  • A passion for gaming and the entertainment industry.
