Technical Process Engineer

PURPOSE

Manages technical processes and databases used in XML product file release workflow. Handles change requests, drives process and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day administration of technical processes involved in XML file release workflow.
  • Development and administration of product build (SQL/AWS) databases including maintenance and optimization of production processes.
  • Coordination between all departments in relation to technical questions, product development and process/project improvements.
  • Building, compilation and testing of all XML production files, data and content, for monthly release cycle.
  • Identification and investigation of operational opportunities and problems, specifically efficient usage of XML technology, XSLT and database exports, through improvements in technology solutions and business processes.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical process engineering role within a localisation environment.
  • Exposure to content management systems and web technologies would be beneficial.
  • Publishing and/or automotive industry experience is desirable but not a pre-requisite.

Skills/knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of XML and XSLT. A rudimentary understanding of JSON would also be beneficial.
  • Should be able to read code and be familiar with database environments and mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of a variety of web publishing techniques.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in dealing with different types of source content including complex software files, transform-based processes and database management.
  • Aware of localization and globalization procedures and practices.

Additional Information

  • Must be eligible to live and work in Spain.
  • Able to travel, UK and abroad
