Lionbridge is actively seeking a skilled Technical Writer with expertise in developer documentation and API references, as well as hands-on experience with YAML or JSON files. What You Will Do

  • Working with various stakeholders to plan documentation structure and schedules.
  • Gathering the information needed to produce the technical documentation.
  • Working as a problem solver in documentation-related matters.
  • Producing documentation according to specific guidelines and writing rules.
  • Illustrations-related work such as planning needed graphics or processing screenshots.

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Good understanding of and familiarity with software development processes and concepts.
  • Developer documentation experience (API references, tutorials).
  • Knowledge or experience with editing YAML or JSON files is a must.
  • Basic understanding, ability to read, edit an API reference as well as code snippets and examples from web development tools like CSS, XML, HTML5, JavaScript, C++, and C#.
  • Coding experience or understanding/familiarity with Java programming language.
  • Ability to quickly adopt basics of other languages.
  • Knowledge of GitHub, Swagger, or other developer documentation tools.
  • Experience of agile development projects and web development skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to use an SDK create simple projects with SDK templates and play around with SDK tools enough to be able to document them or verify instructions written by somebody else.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Higher education in a relevant field (English, information technology) and/or relevant work experience would be considered as an advantage.
  • Ability to plan documentation structures.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent customer service skills.
  • Precision and ability to work in changing situations with tight schedules.
