The Content Design & Localization team makes the TikTok Shop product easy and delightful to use through clear and expressive UX writing. We sit in the US, Singapore and EMEA, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to launch and iterate product features that engage our viewers and content creators.

We’re looking for a Italian Language Manager to join our growing localization team. This role will be overseeing and responsible for the overall quality of the product UI in assigned language. If you are a highly motivated and experienced localization professional, you might be the person we are looking for!

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the overall quality of the assigned language
– Responsible for the language quality of the assigned market for the designated product interface and documentation;
– Identify and analyze language quality issues and work on improvement plans with localization project managers and XFN teams;
– Initiate language strategy tailored for the assigned language;
– Oversee and perform localization tasks including but not limited to translation, review, transcreation/copywriting, quality checks and LQA;
2. Manage language assets
– Creation and maintenance of the terminology database, TM, writing/localization guidelines and QA checklists;
– Develop a strategy to manage language assets for the designated language;
3. Manage resources available to the language
– Monitor the quality of external resources for the language, including but not limited to conducting quality reviews, trainings and performance improvement plans;
– Connect with internal SMEs for expert opinion when necessary;
4. Bridge communication with stakeholders
– Work as the prime contact for the assigned language, to work with both internal and external teams;
– Provide cultural and language-related advice;
5. Develop and implement localization best practices, guidelines, and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all localized content for the language;
6. Managing localization timelines, quality metrics, and reporting on progress to stakeholders.
